There is nowhere quite like South Cornwall. When the sun is shining there is nowhere in the world I would rather be than walking the South West Coast Path, admiring the breathtaking views while working up an appetitie for lunch. One of my favourite stretches is Mullion to The Lizard, or the area around the Minack Theatre is also great.

If we’re picnicking then I’ll do my best to round up the perfect ingredients including local crab and cheeses, fresh baked bread, and Cornish cider or Camel Valley wine! Alternatively, we might just make a pit stop at the fantastic Hidden Hut overlooking Porthcurnick Beach. This relatively unknown gem on the Roseland Peninsula offers a truly unique al fresco dining experience and the fact that you can only get there by walking makes it all the more special. During the summer months they host special ‘feast nights’ which you have to book tickets for in advance. The formula is simple. Bring your own bowl, cutlery and drinks and they’ll lay on delicious food in a beautiful setting. You couldn’t ask for more!
